We had decided to continue our tradition of closing out the year up at the cottage hoping for a 'winter wonderland'. Although there had been snow forecast, it never reached as far north as us. Other than a light dusting one night, what snow there was had been disappearing, melting with temperatures hovering from a few degrees above to a few degrees below freezing.
Wearily, it was also several days of grey heavy skies to close out 2020 with not much to inspire my photography. The gloom was beginning to look like it would continue into 2021 ... until late one afternoon a touch of colour appeared on the horizon along with some rays of hope, for sunshine, for brighter days, for a better year ahead.
