Colours this fall have been far from what I have come to expect with few flaming oranges. Scarce were the brilliant reds I had had hoped for. What colour there was in the leaves around home came on slowly and in a few short days turned and fell to the ground. For me, autumn 2009 will live in my memory as hues of yellows and golds. It's all but done now for another year.
