On our way out to shoot this Saturday a friend and I ran into another local photography enthusiast at Tim Horton's. We stopped to chat for a while and he told us of a location with an old iron bridge that crossed the Grand River just west of Elora. We thought it sounded like the place had some potential so we decided to check out.
The morning sun had risen well above the horizon and was providing some strong back-light on the trees bordering the river edge, the grassy meadow , the thick swarms of bugs over the river and the lone fly fisherman casting his line.

I now know the fisherman as Al. He and I chatted before I left to return home. We have since exchanged emails and I have provided him with a couple images from the shoot.

Wow, I would love to go fishing here, haha! The atmosphere is so serene and makes you feel so small.

ReplyDeleteThanks kindly for stopping by and commenting Danielle and Heena.
ReplyDeleteWhen I literally just walked out on a bridge and into this scene, I was struck by the serenity. I am currently preparaing a large framed print for Al, the fisherman in the shot.
